Hi, this blog springs from my frustration, as an old retired journo, with the sad lack of reportage on the current affairs in our location.

Lightweight is the best word for the radio and tv news about Bunbury and surrounds, and actual news in the newspapers is rare.

I’ve tried emailing tips and information to the editor of the local paper, but not only does nothing appear, I’m not given the courtesy of a response or even acknowledgment of receipt.

I’m sure there are many in the community who would like to be informed about what is going on, at a deeper level than just announcements of forthcoming events, and pictures of politicians grinning while they ‘open’ something.

So here we go…
